what we’re really saying…
We’re up to almost 350,000 views on youtube. Go look at the comments. There is so much insanity there, it’s really shocking! Allee and i were having a laugh making a video with a sound message which is basically, “Don’t second guess yourself. Trust that you know what you know!” And yes, women historically HAVE been challenged in this area and we’re singing about it. Period. The wrath that we’ve incurred is absolutely amazing to me. How do people have so much time to sit around and hate? We don’t say ANYTHING in the song about men, or hating men, or it BLAMING men. Rather the idea that we’re putting out there is, “You, woman, are responsible for what happens to you, and how you think and what you create.” Period. Responsibility is a beautiful thing. Blame is not.

i am truly sorry you are shocked. i just was allowed to post back on youtube two weeks ago. not much has changed since i was banned. my videos are much less threatening than they used to be, but i have already turned off voting and have deleted a few comments. yes there is plenty of misogyny as well as racism on youtube, but it is hiding behind an alias. in the real world, you do not see this stuff as much because society tends to “pc” it. but it is still there. but what you mainly see is a reflection of how angry people are. and people are angry because they are scared, and scared because they are ignorant. it is not a reflection upon you as much as it is on all of us. we are screwed up, and currently doing nothing to fix it. i tried with another site for two years to correct it, but had limited success. your group is quite talented, perhaps you may wish to work on enlightening us. maybe you will do better than i did.

thanks for your post. why were you banned from youtube? we have three trolls on youtube right now who instantaneously put thumbs down on all the positive comments we receive. we’ve tried to block them, and despite their page saying they are blocked, they are ever present, watching the page and our rating remains low. youtube has not responded to our reports of abuse. we just sent them a third message alerting them to these users who are in fact from porn sites. do you think these users could be bots? if so do you know if there is a way to control them?

oh, i know of no way to control them but i have a regular reader (or two) on my blog that are in a position to do something about it. question is, how much those two care about this issue. i am about to start a series that nibbles at the problem so it will get noticed. what will be done? who knows. for now, keep banning and blocking, it’s all i can do, but i am aware that you guys are dealing with thousands of times the traffic i am now. god bless you is about all i can add.
